If you're looking for a robot vacuum that also mops then this is the model to look for. It's smaller than other models and makes it more maneuverable in tight corners or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, when combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, offers some of the best automatic vacuum cleaner navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in the form of a robotic vacuum. It's got a battery of 4600mAh which can last up to 170 minutes if mopping and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to the dock to top up its battery halfway through cleaning.

It's very efficient and does a great job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It can automatic vacuum and mop carpeted rooms fast, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room, and hallways with just one motion. The suction motor's 8,000pa makes short work of picking up dirt, crumbs, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it encounters rugs and the two side brushes help pull away debris from corners.

The mopping performance is a little less impressive, but not by much. The rotating mop spins fast and uses 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when you're trying to get into narrow corners or along baseboards. The same front arms can also be employed to clean up larger debris, like broken toys or books.

The S1 Pro is also one of the quietest robot mops and vacuums I've tested. It doesn't make the same volume of sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is much quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it has to utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It is easy to install and works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum to mop, you will need to pay attention to this.

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive of our review. It does however, have some unique features which make it worth looking into. The X1 Omni is notable for its huge dock that doubles as an charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two 4-liter water tanks. It also houses a 2.5-liter dustbin and a 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also has a variety of buttons to control the system. These let you manually start a cleaning job or recall the robot or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two of the buttons to switch on the child lock, which is a nice option for parents concerned about kids tinkering with the vacuum.

Similar to other robotic vacuums, the Omni Omni utilizes its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path, and then avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will sometimes get so entangled with an obstruction, such as the power cord that is draped across a rug that it becomes stuck and stops working until you manually free it. While it was not common but it was a very frustrating experience when it happened particularly since the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert in its application.

Another possible issue is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically switch between mopping and vacuuming modes during cleaning. You'll need to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't too bad but mopping pads don't get washed or dried between uses. This could lead to mildew and mold.

On the bright side it's worth noting that the X1 Omni is a beautiful-looking robot, thanks to the design team at Jacob Jensen (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who conceptualized its modern and sleek base as well as mopping pad apparatus. It's a big departure from the utilitarian, all-black bases used by competitors like Roborock and iRobot and a pleasing appearance in a market that is dominated by clunky boxes and clunky models.
