Noah Pinsonnault works as a product analyst for Good Housekeeping's Home Care and Cleaning Lab.

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgHe evaluates and tests cleaning appliances. His main focus is mopping robots and vacuum combinations. These multitaskers are an excellent choice for those who want to take mopping off their to-do list. They feature impressive mapping and obstacle avoidance capabilities, and some even wash and refill their mopping pads to give themselves a hands-off clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

This is the model you should pick if you are looking for a robot vacuum cleaner that also mop. It's smaller than the other models on this list making it easier to navigate through tight corners and under furniture. It has a 220-degree lidar, which when combined with its 3D Matrix camera system gives it some of the most effective navigation and object avoidance that I've ever seen in a robot mop vacuum. It has a 4600mAh battery that can last up to 170 mins when cleaning and sucking are set to standard mode. (It can run longer when it is set to turbo). It can even return to its dock to recharge its battery in mid-clean.

It's fast and does an excellent job of cleaning my two-bedroom apartment. It vacuums carpeted rooms extremely quickly and the hardwood floors in the kitchen, robot vacuums that mop hallways, and living room in a single sweep. The motor's 8,000pa power allows it to remove dirt hair, pet hair, and droppings easily. Carpet detection boosts power automatically when it encounters rugs and the dual side brushes help draw out debris from corners.

The mopping performance, while still impressive, Robot vacuums that mop is not as impressive. The mop's rotating mechanism spins fast and utilizes 2.2lbs to scrub dirt and stains. I've noticed that the front arms extend out a bit more than other robots, which can be helpful to maneuver around tight corners and along baseboards. The front arms can also be used to collect larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.

Another good thing is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever tried. It doesn't create the same volume of sound while vacuuming or mopping and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The S1 Pro is only limited by the fact that it must utilize a specific mopping solution and is sold separately. It's simple to install and performs well however this is something you'll need to keep an eye on when you purchase this vacuum solely for the purpose of mopping.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from most robot vacuums that mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great choice for homeowners looking to purchase a highly effective, versatile, and customizable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with an efficient cleaning system that integrates LiDAR sensor technology with an RGB camera. This enables it to map out the house and also find furniture and other obstacles. It can then use this information to clean efficiently and effectively. This will ensure an even and thorough clean and is also quick.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach a variety of surfaces. These include corners, baseboards, and other hard-to-reach spots. The side brush can be stretched out to reach the floor close to the walls or other fixtures. In addition, the mop pads can be washed and dried to avoid build-up and lessen the smell.

App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo lets you adjust the suction strength and select an back-and-forth or random pattern. You can also adjust the number of passes it should make, which will determine the speed at which the device can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush in order to prevent damage to carpets and rugs.

The device has a expensive price tag, but it is packed with a wide array of innovative features. It is important to remember that the device incurs regular expenses, such as mopping supplies and regular maintenance. For instance brushrolls need to be replaced every six to 12 months or after 300 hours. The filter is recommended to be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pads should be changed every three months.

The robot vacuum that mops has a high rating on Amazon and offers a wide variety of physical automation features. It has the power button that serves as a general "Clean' button and a 'Home button that will take it back to its base station after finishing the cleaning process. It also has a multi-functional dock that automatically empty the dustbin, refills its water tank for mopping and washes and dries its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

The Shark Matrix Plus will be an ideal option for busy professionals or anyone who wants to keep their home tidy without spending too much time on chores. It has powerful performance, intelligent navigation, and a long battery life that makes it simple to keep your home clean with little effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum is an all-in-one mop and vacuum. It can do both vacuuming as well as mopping. The robot Vacuums that mop is divided into two parts, a dry bin and water tank that can be easily snapped in and out and a mopping module that includes an elastomer pad. Separate modules for mopping and vacuuming may seem a bit old-fashioned, but they do mean that you don't need to worry about changing disposable bags or refilling the water tank.

The Matrix Plus performed well at vacuuming and mopping. Its best feature is its precise floorplan map, which it employs when cleaning. This made it a breeze for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture rug, furniture, and other obstacles. The app also gives you the option of setting "No-Go zones" as well as virtual barriers that help to shield certain areas of your house from being cleaned with a mop.

The Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of collecting pet hair. It was able to capture a lot of the hair that sheds from our cats. It even made it into the nooks and crannies on our stairs, where other robots had struggled. It was fairly quiet and even had some pleasant jingles that signalled when it was starting or completing its task.

The biggest flaws were its simple app and the necessity to swap between the modules to switch between mopping and vacuuming. The app can't store multiple maps, which could be a hassle for homes with a mix of floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a excellent choice for those who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni robot vacuum is the most expensive item in our review. It does however, have certain unique features that are worth a look. The X1 Omni is most well-known for its massive dock that doubles as a charging base for the robot, a cleaning sink and two water tanks that are 4 liters in size. It also houses the 2.5-liter dust bin and an 2.5 liter dust bin.

The base also comes with a set of buttons to control the system. These allow you to manually start cleaning and then recall the robot vacuum best or start the dock's auto-emptying process. Hold down two buttons to toggle a child lock that is a great option for parents concerned about their children playing with the automatic vacuum cleaner and mop.

The X1 Omni, like other robotic cleaner and mop vacuums uses its camera to identify furniture and obstacles in its path. It will stay clear of them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

Unfortunately, this means that the X1 Omni will occasionally get caught up in an obstacle--such as a power cord draped across a rug--that it becomes stuck and ceases to function until you free it. While it was not common however, it was a gruelling experience when it did happen and especially because the X1 Omni doesn't come with a "stuck" status alert in its application.

The X1 Omni cannot automatically switch from mopping to vacuuming mode during cleaning. You will need to manually swap between the two, which isn't a big deal except for the fact that mopping pads aren't washed and dried between use and can cause mildew or mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame), who created its sleek modern base and mopping pad. It's a big difference from the utilitarian black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also a welcome sight for the market that is dominated by boxes.
