The Pre-licensing Course can be taken in the classroom or through online learning or virtual classroom. If you choose to opt for the classroom option you will receive an MV-278 Pre-licensing Certificate of Completion. All courses have the same syllabus, regardless of the version you choose. If you are able to successfully complete your course, the provider will report your achievement to the DMV automatically and you won't have to present the certificate at the time of taking your driver's test.
