What is an Item Upgrader in Pokemon Go?

Some boosts are useful in specific builds (such as Whistan's shield in FB sorcs) while others could provide significant value to specific collectors.

Some items have a built-in boos, which is less effective when upgraded. For example the Goldwrap provides extra slots for potion. They are usually upgraded to inject more value into a perfect or near-perfect item upgrade.

Costs

Upgrades have some associated costs. The first is the cost for the upgrade. The cost for this upgrade can be costly and depends on the new level of the item as well as the number of perks it receives. Upgrades to a higher level (such as Explorer to Champion or Veteran to Heroic) can be expensive.

The second is the cost of items needed to upgrade. The items used for upgrades are usually either Power Dices (dropped by monsters 21and over) or Minerals and Erons (obtainable by completing certain Mists of Pandaria or Warlords of Draenor quests). These materials can be found in the inventory of an Upgrade Vendor.

It takes time to upgrade an item. It can take up to 8 hours depending on the size of an upgrade. The upgraded item's base stats are calculated by using the item's new ilvl, perks, and other properties. This calculation determines the latest Armor Class bonus, damage dice, and other crucial statistics. In some instances, an upgrade can grant additional perks. These perks are listed in a list.

In rare cases the upgrade will replace only the most expensive perks. Sometimes, the upgrader will make other modifications to an item, like changing its weapon damage type or or removing an unwieldy or operational property. The cost for these changes is based on the item's new ilvl, and it could require a specific material like an adamantine alloy.

Success Rate

The process of upgrading an item is dependent on chance. Like any random system, there is a possibility that it will not succeed. There are a number of ways to increase your chances of success. This includes using an Upgrade Pity or the addition additional materials to your upgrade.

The Upgrade Pity can be bought through the NPC for smithing in Lost Ark. It increases the chances of a successful upgrade by a certain percentage. It's similar to the "luck bonus" that some items provide however it is more secure. This can be added to any weapon or armor and can be used three times.

It is also possible to add a variety of additional materials to the upgrade items, which increases its chances of success. These are displayed in a separate window, above the + button. There are some limitations. The maximum amount of material you can add is shown directly above the + button.

A Blacksmith Blessing, or an upgraded version thereof, can be used to increase the chances of an upgrade succeeding. This item can be helpful in the event that your item upgrade or weapon is near or has reached the highest level of its tier. It allows you to upgrade that piece of equipment to the next level without risking breaking.

If an upgrade fails, the system will be restored to its original condition. This is usually a downgrade, but could also be an upgrade. It is a good idea to save an upgrade for when you are close to the maximum level of an item, and to use it as a last resort.

There are a variety of items available in the Kafra shop that can be used to increase the likelihood of a successful upgrade. Failure Rate
