1. Roomba j7+ iRobot from iRobot.

The Roomba j7+ is iRobot's smartest robot vacuum to date. Its greatest breakthrough is its camera-based obstacle detection system that makes use of built-in AI to recognize objects like charging cords, shoes and the pet waste that many other robots are unable to avoid (and often go through). It's also the first to automatically send you photos of the object it comes across to let you know to avoid it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the most effective mop-bot we've ever tested, removing spills and dirt with ease while leaving no trace it was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and create Keep Out Zones to ensure that it doesn't sweep in areas you don't wish to. It's compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can start it and stop it using voice.

The design is also better than the competition. It has a sleek, top piece that resembles a toy rather than a loud and obnoxious robot. Clean Base's Automatic Dirt removal System also self-empties, best auto Vacuum which can cut down on cleaning time.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to remove dust dirt, pet hair and other particles. The rubber brushes that counter-rotate kept the debris in place instead of scattering it across the floor. It even was able to take small gravel and sand, which most other robots couldn't do. It did this without getting caught in our pet's hair.

The j7+, though not as intelligent as the $1,217 Roomba S9+ Self-Emptying Vacuum Robot from iRobot, and it cannot clean the stairs, is an option for those who want both mopping and a vacuum. It's not too expensive, and the iRobot application makes it user-friendly to use.

Although the iRobot Home app is very user-friendly however, we've found it to be less reliable than other apps that use robotic floor scrubber cleaners. It can take some time to download updates and it is sometimes difficult to determine whether they're working until you see them in action.

2. Roborock Q5+

If you're looking to purchase an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, your best robot vacuum for tile floors choice is probably a hybrid. These robots come with a tank of water so they can mop and vacuum simultaneously. They also come with a variety of additional features, including smart mapping, small obstacle avoidance and even the ability to dry and wash mopping pads. They're expensive at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock makes some of our favorite robot vacuums robot and the Q5+ is no exception. This is the cheapest model of their auto-empty line. Although it doesn't come with some of the expensive features (like no-go zones and multi-story memories) but it's an excellent option when you're willing to make some compromises to save a few bucks.

The Q5+ is notably soft around obstacles like tables and walls and walls, which makes it a great option for homes with a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough when it comes to cleaning up dust bunnies, which is a place which many robot vacuums fall short. The navigation technology in the Q5+ is superb too, with very little misses in corners and along walls.

Like other Roborock devices, the Q5+ can be controlled with the buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. Through the app, you can start and stop cleaning, set schedules, create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map or change the labeling of rooms.

If you opt for the Q5+, it comes with a new auto-empty dock that's specifically designed to make this robot simple to maintain. It requires a screwdriver to install, but once in place the process of emptying the bin is easy. It has a large LCD screen, which is useful when setting up schedules and changing settings. This isn't an essential feature for the majority of people, but it's one that will help you keep track of your robot's maintenance intervals with ease.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both mopping and vacuuming. Its design and function are among the best on the market however, it's also expensive.

It is a relatively small base station that looks great and can be hidden when not in use. The primary selling point of the station is that it automates many tasks, functions, and chores that other robots leave to you. It can store dirty and clean water and electrolyze and heat the water. Many other robots require you to do this.

And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robovac that I've tested that does a good job picking up the dust from floors with no. And it's not as loud as the expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

But the Freo X Ultra has its shortcomings, particularly when it comes to navigation. Its laser sensors and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as other robot vacuums. This means that it is prone to getting stuck or get confused in certain corners or rooms in the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as some competitors,, and it doesn't have a dock that allows you to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for plush carpets.

Although it doesn't provide the same amount of cleaning configuration options in its app, or as many shortcuts within the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the price cost.

If you're looking to cut costs or don't mind the limitations of the robot, there are many other options available. A lot of eufy models are significantly less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides a similar in-app experience with additional features such as stair climbing, a full-function dock, and a better overall performance when vacuuming floors and low and high-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company with an established track record of making robot vacuums with the right balance of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning on hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a reasonable price. It's simple to set up by snapping one of the side brushes on, switch it on and plug in the charging dock. The app takes you through several steps to connect it to Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. The dock will need to be placed near an outlet and have plenty of room to move.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, meaning it is able to be placed under most couches and low-clearance pieces of furniture. Its design is more modest than other models, with sleek black finishes and three physical buttons that control Auto Cleaning, which can be paused or started. Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). It is also possible to connect the G30 with Amazon Alexa or Google Home to use voice commands to do unscheduled cleaning.

The way in which the G30 cleans is what differentiates it from its rivals. It uses a built-in mapping to create an image of non-movable objects that are in its path, remembering what it's already cleaned and the areas it's not able to access. If it requires a recharge, it will automatically return to its base, and then resumes cleaning where it started.

The eufy G30 has its flaws however. The iRobot Roomba 675 is better constructed, has lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life. It also offers better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with low pile. It comes with a larger dust bin, which doesn't require as much emptying. It also comes with boundaries that prevent it from certain areas. The G30 is, however is more affordable and a lot more manageable to maintain. Its smaller dust canister does not require emptying as often and is less prone to suffocating heavy materials such as cereal.
