The Best Robot Vacuum That Mops

Noah Pinsonnault is a product review analyst for the Home Care and Cleaning Lab at Good Housekeeping.

He reviews and tests cleaning equipment, with a focus on robot vacuums and mopping combos. These multitaskers can be an excellent choice for those looking to remove mopping from their list of things to do. Some of them have excellent mapping and obstacle avoidance. Others even wash and refill mopping pads themselves to ensure a hands-free clean.

The Eufy S1 Pro

If you're looking for a robotic vacuum that also mops then this is the model you should go for. It's smaller than other options and makes it more maneuverable in tight spaces or under furniture. It features a 220-degree Lidar that, combined with the 3D Matrix Camera System, provides some of the best navigation and object avoidance capabilities I've seen in robot vacuums. It has a hefty 4600mAh battery that lasts for up to 170-minutes when mopping and robot vacuum that mops suction are set to standard mode (it is able to run longer in turbo). It will even return to the dock to top up its battery midway through an efficient.

It's very quick and does an excellent job of cleaning my two bedroom apartment. It is able to vacuum carpeted rooms quickly, and hardwood floors in the kitchen, living room and hallways with only one pass. Its 8,000pa suction motor is quick at picking up dirt, droppings, and pet hair. Carpet detection automatically boosts power when it detects carpets, and the dual side brush helps to remove debris from corners.

The mopping performance is less impressive, though not by a lot. The mop's rotating motor spins at a high velocity and it pushes down with 2.2lbs of force, effortlessly scrubbing up dirt and staining. I've noticed that the front arm extends out a bit more than other robots. This is helpful when getting into tight corners or on baseboards. The front arms can also be used to pick up larger pieces of debris, like broken toys and books.

Another nice feature is that the S1 Pro is one of the most quiet robot vacuums and mops I've ever used. It doesn't make as loud of a sound when mopping or vacuuming, and is quieter than the Narwal Freo X Ultra or RoboRock S7. The only issue is that the S1 Pro must use a proprietary cleaning solution for mopping, and is separate from the vacuum. It is easy to install and works well. However should you purchase this robot vacuum solely for mopping purposes, you will need to pay attention to this.

The Roborock Q Revo

The Q Revo stands apart from the majority of robot vacuums which mops in its class. It comes with a wide array of features that make it a great option for homeowners looking for a highly effective, versatile and adaptable cleaning machine.

The device is equipped with an impressive and powerful cleaning system that combines LiDAR sensors with an RGB camera to map your home and detect furniture and other obstacles. It then uses this information to clean methodically and efficiently. This results in a thorough, consistent clean that is also quite fast.

The Q Revo DuoRoller mop pad can reach many surfaces. This includes corners, baseboards and other hard to reach spots. The side brush can be stretched to reach the floor close to the walls and other fixtures. The mop pads can also be washable and dry to remove odors and prevent buildup.

App-based customization is another notable feature. The Q Revo allows you to alter the intensity of its suction, and choose between a back-and-forth or slightly more random pattern. You can also choose the number of passes, which will determine the speed at which it can move around your home. You can also disable the side brush to prevent damage to carpets and carpets.

This device is expensive but it comes with a lot of smart features. It's important to note that it incurs recurring costs in the form of mopping equipment and maintenance. For example the brushroll has to be replaced after 300 hours or every six to twelve months. The filter must be cleaned after 150 hours, and the mop pad should be replaced every three to six months.

This robot vacuum that mops has an excellent rating on Amazon and includes a broad range of physical automation features. The robot vacuum also has an energy button that doubles as the 'Clean button' and a Home button that allows it to go home after cleaning. It also comes with a multifunctional dock which automatically empty the trash bin, fills up its water tank and washes and dry its mop pads.

The Shark Matrix Plus

If you're a busy professional or someone who wants a cleaner home without spending hours doing chores then the Shark Matrix Plus is a solid choice. Its powerful performance, intelligent navigation and long battery life allow you to keep a clean home with minimal effort.

The Matrix Plus robot vacuum cleaner reviews vacuum is a two-in-one vacuum and mop. It can do both mopping and vacuuming. It has two modules: a combined dry bin and water reservoir, and a separate mopping system with a microfiber pad that snaps in and out of place. Separate modules for vacuuming and mopping may appear a bit dated but they're a good thing because you don't have to think about changing disposable bags or refueling the tank with water.

Our test subjects found that the Matrix Plus did a great job of vacuuming as well as mopping. Its best robot vacuum cleaner and mop feature was its accurate map of your floorplan that it uses to create an outline for cleaning. This made it easy for the Matrix Plus to navigate around furniture, rugs and other obstacles. The app lets you create 'No-Go Zones' and virtual barriers to prevent certain areas from being cleaned by a mop.

robot-vacuum-mops-logo-text-black-png-original.jpgThe Matrix Plus also did a surprising job of picking up hair of pets. It was able capture a large amount of hair our cats shed, and even was able to get into the nooks and crannys of our stairs while other robots struggled. The noise levels of the robot vacuum cleaners reviews were low, and there were some pleasant jingles to signal that it was starting and finishing its work.

Its main drawbacks were its simplistic app and the necessity to change out the modules whenever switching between vacuuming and mopping. The app cannot keep multiple maps. This can be an issue if your home has multiple floors. The Matrix Plus robot is a great choice for those who want a device that can vacuum and mop.

The Yiko X1 Omni

The X1 Omni is the most expensive robot vacuum that mops in our test, but it also has distinctive features that are worth taking into consideration. The X1 Omni's main draw is its massive dock that doubles as a charging base and housing for two 4 liter water tanks, a clean sink, and the 2.5-liter dust bin that automatically emptys.

The base comes with several control buttons that let you manually start cleaning tasks and then recall the robot or run the dock’s auto-emptying procedure. Press two buttons to turn off the child lock. This is a nice feature for parents worried about their children playing with the vacuum mop cleaner robot.

The Omni Omni, like other robotic vacuums uses its camera to identify obstacles and furniture in its path. It will avoid them. True Mapping 2.0 navigation maps your home up to four times faster than laser detection systems.

The X1 can be prone to become stuck when it gets caught in a hazard like a power cable tangled over a rug. It will not work until you manually untangle it. This is a rare event however it was frustrating because the X1 doesn't have a "stuck status" alert on its app.

Another issue that could be a problem is the X1 Omni's inability to automatically change between vacuuming and mopping modes during cleaning. You'll have to manually switch between the two modes, which isn't that bad, except that the mopping pad doesn't get cleaned or dried between use. This could lead to mildew and mold.

The X1 Omni looks great, thanks to the Jacob Jensen design team (of Bang & Olufsen fame) who designed the sleek modern, contemporary base and mopping pad. It's a significant contrast to the basic black bases of rivals like Roborock or iRobot. It's also an excellent choice for an industry dominated by boxy models.robotic-vacuum-cleaner-cleaning-the-room-while-wom-2024-11-07-13-20-10-utc-min-jpg-original.jpg
