Top Black Friday and Cyber Monday Robot Vacuum Deals

If you've ever thought of purchase a robot vacuum, now's your chance. CNET's top models are on sale this Black Friday and Cyber Monday, with savings of up to 57%..

The Roborock Q7 Max offers strong pressure and smart mapping, with apps-based no-go zones, and its 180-minute runtime is impressive. It also self-empties and refills its water tank.

1. iRobot Roomba j7+

The Roomba J7+, iRobot's most intelligent robot to date, is the Roomba J7+. Its most notable advancement, however, is its camera-based obstacle-detection technology. It uses AI to detect objects such as charging cords and shoes. It's also the first robot to automatically send you a photo of the object it comes across so you can tell it to stay clear of it in the future.

The Combo J7+ is the best robot vacuum for tile floors robot to mop we've ever tested, removing dirt and spills with ease without leaving any trace that was there. The iRobot app makes it easy to control. It can schedule cleanings and even create Keep Out Zones to ensure it doesn't vacuum in areas you don't would like. And it's compatible with Alexa and Google Assistant, so you can turn it on and off by speaking to it.

Its design is an improvement over the rest and features a sleek, top piece that looks more like a toy robotic than a loud, obnoxious one. And the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal System self-empties which is great to speed up cleaning.

In our tests the j7+ was quick to clean up dust, dirt and pet hair. The counter-rotating rubber brushes kept the debris in its place instead of scattering it on the floor. It was able to capture sand, small gravel and even a bit of grit. The majority of robots cannot achieve this feat. And it did all of this without getting caught in our pet's hair shedding.

While it's not quite as efficient as the $1,217 iRobot Roomba s9+ Self-Emptying Robot Vacuum and can't clean stairs, the J7+ is an excellent option for those who need a vac and a mop in their home. It's not expensive and the IRobot app makes it user-friendly.

The iRobot Home App is easy to use, but we found it less reliable as other robotic vacuum cleaners cleaner apps. It can take a long time to download updates, and sometimes it's difficult to tell whether the update is working until you've seen it in the action.

2. Roborock Q5+

When you're looking for an automated vacuum cleaner that can do more than just clean floors, the most effective option is likely to be hybrid. These machines are equipped with a water tank, so they can vacuum and mop simultaneously. These bots also come with many additional features like smart mapping and small object avoidance and the ability to wash and re-dry mopping pads. They're expensive at full retail but often come down in price on Black Friday or Cyber Monday.

Roborock is one of our most loved robot vacuums, and the Q5+ isn't an exception. It's their most affordable auto-empty model, and while it lacks some of the features found on higher-end models (like no-go zones and multi-story memory) it's still a great option if you're willing to compromise a bit in order to save a few hundred dollars.

The Q5+ is exceptionally gentle when it comes down to obstacles such as walls and table legs. This makes it a great choice for homes that have a lot of furniture. It's also very thorough in removing dust bunnies. This is a place where many robot vacuums that are less expensive fall short. The Q5+'s navigation is top-quality, with a few misses along walls and in corners.

Like other Roborock devices as well, the Q5+ can be controlled using a few buttons on the device or through the Roborock app. The app lets you start and stop cleanings and schedules, as well as create virtual barriers and no-go zones, and modify your home map, or change the labeling of rooms.

beginners-guide-to-smart-mapping-robot-vacuum-cleaners-medium.jpgIf you choose to purchase the Q5+ model, it comes with a new auto-empty dock specifically designed to make the robot easy to maintain. Installing it requires a screwdriver, but once it's installed, emptying the bin is done easily. It comes with a huge LCD screen, which is useful for setting up schedules or altering settings. This feature isn't essential for everyone, however it can help you easily keep track of the robot's maintenance schedules.

3. Narwal Freo X Ultra

The Freo X Ultra robot vacuum and mop is a sophisticated well-rounded mop and vacuum. It's capable of both vacuuming and mopping. Its design is one of the best in the industry however, it's costly.

Its base station looks good and is hidden when it's not in use, and its size is quite compact. The station's most appealing point is how it automates various tasks and functions that other robots leave up to you. It can store clean and dirty water, electrolyzes and heats the water (which many other robots require you to do) and empty the dust bin after vacuuming, and keeps your budget robot vacuum clean and charged.

And its vacuuming is impressive and efficient, too. It's the only robot vacuum I've tested that does well at picking up dirt from floors that aren't. And it's not as loud as the more expensive Roomba 900 series or iRobot 980.

The Freo X Ultra is not without faults, particularly when it comes to navigation. The laser and LiDAR sensors aren't as reliable as some other robovacs, which means it can get stuck or confused in certain rooms or corners of the house. It's not able to navigate stairs as well as competitors, for instance, and it doesn't have an dock that allows the user to set up an exclusive cleaning zone for carpets with plush padding.

While it doesn't offer the same amount of cleaning options available in its app or as many shortcuts within the app as some other robovacs, the Freo X Ultra is still an excellent choice for anyone looking for a comprehensive mop and robot vacuum that's worth the higher price cost.

But if you want to save some money or don't want to think about the limitations of this machine There are many alternatives available which include a variety of eufy models that cost considerably less. The Eufy Qrevo Curv, for instance is less expensive and provides the same experience in the app, but with more features like stairs, a fully-function dock, and better overall vacuuming performance on bare floors as well as high and low-pile carpets.

4. eufy RoboVac G30

eufy is an Anker company that has a history of producing robot vacuums with the right combination of performance, features, and price. The G30 Hybrid is no different and offers a powerful cleaning of hard floors and mopping, carpets and other surfaces at a reasonable price. It's easy to setup simply by snapping one of the side brushes on, turn on and plug in the charging dock. The app takes you through the steps needed to connect it to your Wi-Fi. After that, the G30 is ready to go. You'll need to leave the dock close to an electrical outlet and plenty of room to allow it to move around, however.

The G30 is a compact device, measuring 2.85 inches in height, so it will fit under most couches and low-clearance pieces furniture. The design is less flashy than some of the rival models, sporting a sleek black finish and three buttons that are physical: Auto Cleaning start/pause, Recharge, and Spot Cleaning (which cleans the area in an arc for two minutes). You can also link the G30 to Amazon Alexa or Google Home to conduct cleaning without a schedule using voice commands.

The main characteristic that makes the G30 apart from most competitors is the method it cleans. It makes use of an integrated map to make a picture of the immovable items that are in its path. It can remember what it has already cleaned and where it cannot access. It will return to the base to recharge and then continues cleaning where it left off.

The iRobot Roomba 675 is much better built, incurs lower recurring costs, charges more quickly and has the same battery life, while providing better performance on floors with no carpet and carpets with a low pile. It also comes with a larger dust bin that doesn't need to be empty as often and comes with the boundaries to keep it away from certain areas. The G30 is less expensive and easier to maintain. Its smaller size means that it doesn't need to be emptied as often and it's less difficulty handling bulky products such as cereal.
